TechSocial Series

The popular, informal UCL Research Programming Technical Social series returns, for anyone with an interest in the computational methods and technology behind research and innovation.

Having expandedunder the “Knowledge Quarter Codes” nameto welcome participation from academic and industrial organisations across the and build a shared community of practice, the TechSocial series offers an opportunity to connect withfellow practitioners, and to discuss and learn about useful tools and techniques which may help with your work.

The seriesare held monthly, usually the second Wednesdayfrom 4.00pm onwards, with an informal format as follows:

  • Short talk on a tool, program, environment, language or technique of general interest to researchers, research software engineers and data scientists.
  • Discussion inspired by the talk, over pizza and drinks.
  • Option toretire to an appropriate social venue.

All are welcome, whatever your background or career stage!

The TechSocial series is available to all. Please register for attendance using the Pretix link provided for each event below, letting us know if you will be joining in-person or remotely.
