This group is a volunteer-led grassroots collective
About Us
The group was formed in March 2023 by Sarah Marks and Clare HewittÌý
L-R: Simon Beesley, Rachel Cooper, Sarah Burn, Clare Hewitt, Emiliana Di Donna, Sarah Marks at the Groups’ Christmas Party December 2023
As a support group we want to be able to provide the following:
- Create a safe space for those caring for children who are neurodivergent and to ask practical questions of one another
- Gain peer support from those going through similar experiences
- Sharing personal stories that may help others in similar situations
- Create a sense of belonging, celebrating joys and successes
Who Can Join?
Anyone who looks after or cares for a child who is neurodivergent. That is whether they have been diagnosed, are in the middle of being assessed, or if you have an inkling that your child may be neurodivergent.
When We Meet
- Once a month
- 12:05-12:55pm
- On a different day each month e.g. Monday in Jan, Tuesday in Feb, etc.
- On Teams but sometimes we meet in person
We meet on a different day each month as many of us are part-time and our lives are not only busy with work but arranging and attending meetings for our children.
