The book is part of the by UCL Press.
Drawing on philosophy and sociology of education, the contributing authors will explore what a school subject is.Â
They will discuss how we can construct an epistemological and moral case for a common curriculum, at a time when instrumental rationale, social movements and examination results are driving the curriculum in many schools.Â
Zongyi Deng, Professor of Curriculum at the UCL Institute of Education, will be responding to their comments.Â
