Robinson was the writer of several books on Albania and the Balkans including "Albania - Road to Freedom" (London, 1941) as well as a number of plays. His second wife Clare Hollingworth was also a writer on Balkan affairs and they sometimes collaborated in their work. He was active during the inter war period within the League of Nations Union.

ROB/2 - Robinson's diaries (1901-1925, mostly 1918-1923)
At the time these diaries were written Robinson was finishing his schooling at Cheltenham College and was briefly a cadet at Woolwich Military Academy before going on to Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
Contents: Robinson's diaries which mostly record personal matters but there are some references to political events and Robinson's reactions to them. Also contains a diary of a canoe trip taken by Robinson and his father and various other short memoirs and writings.

Robinson was a descendent of several mostly minor land owning aristocratic families.
