Description
Design and Creative Practice 2 is a unique module on the Architectural & Interdisciplinary Studies programme that enables each student to understand design disciplines, with a view to developing their own individual creative practice.Ìý
This module encourages students to discover the work of a wide range of creative practitioners, including – but not limited to – architects, landscape architects, inventors, filmmakers, artists, designers and writers. This informs an understanding of the relevance of interdisciplinary discourse to architecture, sustainability and the environment.Ìý
With a focus on questioning and experimentation, the course is highly process-led, and encourages working as individuals and in groups in the B-Made workshop, studio and on sites across London. The module’s open and self-led approach encourages exploration across media, performance and conversation, grounded in a theoretical and material acknowledgement of our environment and our impacts on it.Ìý
The course is supported by a dynamic programme of workshops with invited guests from various creative backgrounds, and culminated in a collaborative event in which we celebrate students’ individual projects.
