Description
This course aims to introduce a selection of texts from twentieth-century francophone literature, examining the formal and aesthetic preoccupations of francophone writings politically contesting Frenchness. This course also explores the engagement of francophone writers with a range of topics such as alienation, identity, tradition, modernity, colonialism, ethnicity, sexuality, language, bilingualism and biculturalism.Ìý
