Description
This module will cover several important narrative texts from the late twelfth and thirteenth centuries. Consideration will be given to both predominant themes (courtliness and heroism; conflicting demands of love and society; transgression) and broader literary theoretical questions (alterity; developments in medieval narrative technique; textual in/stability).
