- Intermediate Greek A (GREK0005)
Teaching Delivery: This module is taught in 20 bi-weekly lectures and 20 bi-weekly PGTA-led seminars.
Content: This module aims to develop students' knowledge of the Greek language from the level achieved at the end of Intermediate Greek A to a point where they will have consolidated all regular syntactical constructions and be able to read and translate original Greek prose and verse texts. Two of the four classes per week will be split into small groups, each group taught by a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant.
Module texts: - JACT Reading Greek (2 vols. Text and Vocabulary; Grammar and Exercises) (2nd edition; CUP, 2007).
- JACT A Greek Anthology (CUP, 2002).
