Description
This course equips students with the knowledge and tools to think strategically about decisions that shape an organization's approach to the management of people. The focus is on concrete measures that can be taken to make work more motivating and meaningful in alignment with organizational strategy. Students will get familiar with human resource decisions made in organizations through case studies and interview research. No prior knowledge of business and management is required.
Students taking this module should feel comfortable being assessed for contributing orally to class discussions during weekly seminars. Topics covered include: recruitment and selection, performance management, reward and recognition, career theory, equality and diversity, and international postings.
