This year we are starting an informal IPLS PhD programme that aims at providing聽training and networking activities for students working at the physics-biology interface 澳门历史开奖记录. We will be holding our first PhD Welcome week on聽October 12-16.听
All PhD students working at the interface of physics and biology are invited to attend. We will have an introduction to IPLS, including ongoing IPLS activities, and lectures and workshops that cover key topics and techniques in biological physics.听
Highlights of the week will include:
- Lectures covering important and timely topics in biological physics
- Information on common techniques such as microfabrication, super-resolution microscopy and atomic force microscopy
- Workshops on soft matter physics and dimensional analysis in biology, and a special workshop about how to deal with differential equations for the biologists among you.
- Social mixer on Friday afternoon
