Biography:

Alexander's doctoral study focusses on the impact of lobbying regulations on interest groups in the EU and its Member States. More broadly, he is interested in European Public Policy, the distribution of power within the EU, lobbying, and the interplay between politics and its geographical parameters.

Alexander holds an MA (cum laude) in International Relations with a specialisation in European Union Studies from Leiden University, the Netherlands, and a BA (Hons) in Political Science and Geography from Trinity College Dublin.

Research title:

How we get what we want: Analysing the impacts of lobbying regulations on interest groups in European democracies.

Research interests:

European public policy, lobbying regulation, public-private partnerships, interest group behaviours, EU agricultural and environmental policy, political systems, the political geography of the EU, and comparative politics.
