I am a first year PhD student supervised by Professor Peter Howell and Professor John Harris. My PhD project focuses on separating children who have word-finding difficulty (WFD) from those who have other speech production problems. To achieve that goal, I build on the Universal non-word repetition (UNWR) task by creating an easy tool that can equitably test Arabic and English children. Once children have been identified, experimental interventions are delivered as follows:
- Phonological training for children with WFD
- Working memory training for children with fluency difficulty
