Lighting for video

We have a number of simple to use LED lighting systems to improve your video output.

Whilst we are mainly working from home, videographers (especially vloggers) often useÌýnatural light when creating videos. However,Ìýrelying onÌýdaylight can limit the time when you can record, if you want the freedom to record wherever and whenever you want, the best thing to do is to useÌýartificial light sources.ÌýThese will not only improve the look of your video but also ensure consistency.

We haveÌýthe following on-camera LED lights available to borrow which staff might find useful, all items which require a batteryÌýmust be booked in advance as we only use rechargeables. We also have 4 sets which are mains powered, these are for use where the location you are filming also needs to be artificially lit.

To request an item of equipment to loan, please contact the team via email.ÌýTo discuss or collect an item you will find us in the Cruciform Building on Huntley Street. Please make an appointment before visiting.
