Zoom allows you to collaborate through online video meetings.

Changes to Zoom licensing for staff from Wednesday 3 JulyÌý2024

From Wednesday 3 July 2024 changes will be made to how Zoom licences are allocated to staff going forward.Ìý

  • Staff who have hosted a Zoom meeting since January 2024 will automatically be granted a licence and need take no further action.
  • Staff who currently have a Zoom account andÌýneed to attend but not host meetings will be given an unlicenced account. This will allow them to join meetings.
  • Staff who do not currently have a Zoom account but create one after this changeÌýwill be given an unlicensed account by default. If they need to host a meeting of longer than 40 minutes, a licence will need to be requested.

Zoom is a video conferencing tool which allows you to create and hold online video meetings with the capability to share screens, collaborate and breakout your meeting into smaller groups.
